How to Hang Art Without Destroying Your Walls

Sure that tacky stuff works some of the time…but what if you don’t want to ruin the back of your poster?  What if you are living in the dorms, renting, or for whatever reason, cannot bang holes in your walls?  What if you don’t want to spend the money for fancy decorating?

Not to worry.  Run over to your closet and grab some wooden pants hangers.

I saw this idea recently on ApartmentTherapy.com and thought it was fantastic.  Hang your art from hangers and let the hangers hang from clear thumbtacks, small nails, or those nifty hooks from 3M.  This idea works best with plastic or fabric art, since paper art will eventually curl.  To prevent curling, either laminate your paper art or flatten it between heavy books every month or so.  You can also glue it to cardboard or harder stock to prevent curling.

Celebrate creativity every Wednesday with a “Creativi-bee” post, where I share easy craft tutorials, project ideas, and craft collections.
